Why Connecting People Exists

When I moved to El Salvador October 2022, I faced the same challenges most expats experience: endless hours wasted searching online, messaging random people in Facebook groups, and trying to figure out who I could actually trust. I quickly realized how overwhelming, confusing, and often risky it can be to find reliable services, housing, or business opportunities here.At the same time, I saw how difficult it is for local businesses, even good, honest ones, To reach the right clients. Many rely on word of mouth or spend their time chasing leads in the wrong places. They often don’t know how to present themselves to an international audience, and as a result, they miss out on opportunities.This left me in the middle: I understood both sides. Expats desperately needed trustworthy solutions, and local businesses needed a way to reach them. My Story & Experience

Hi I am Berry Verkeij, originally from the Netherlands. I made the decision in mid-2022 to take the leap of faith. I sold my house and all my belongings, quit my job, bought 2 suitcases, and traveled to El Salvador, 3 years later, I never left...For the past three years, I’ve been living, working, and building relationships in El Salvador. During this time, I’ve been blessed to connect with hundreds of people, expats, locals, business owners, and international visitors. Many of these connections turned into friendships, partnerships, and valuable bridges between people who needed each other.I speak three languages. Dutch, English, and Spanish, which allows me to easily move between cultures and build trust with both expats and Salvadorans. Being fully integrated into the culture here, I don’t just work with the expat community, I’m also deeply involved with the local community and its events. I’ve entered spaces and circles that very few foreigners manage to, simply by being authentic, likable, and committed to helping.Over the years, I’ve built real hands-on experience with:- Residency processes: multiple residencies and renewals.- Company setups: helping establish businesses legally in El Salvador.- Real Estate: more than a year of experience in the market, supporting countless transactions for both buyers and renters.- Networking & matchmaking: connecting local businesses to the right expat clients, and expats to reliable local solutions.I’ve also attended and supported countless expat meetups, business gatherings, and cultural events. Through this, I’ve helped new arrivals find their way, shared critical relocation knowledge, and introduced people who ended up becoming close friends or valuable business partners.Today, I can say with confidence: I know the culture, I know the people, and I know how to connect the right people together in a way that creates real value for everyone involved.My goal is simple.
